TRR Proposals for 2008 FDIP Grants Program
The TRR award is awarded to a consortium of faculty. The TRR grant will be very competitive as only one award will be made for this category. This award will be reviewed by the entire FDIP committee, the Exec. Asst. V.P. of Instructional Support and Outreach, the Asst. Director of Educational Technology, and members of the Information Technology staff. The final approval will be made by the Assoc. V.P. of Academic Affairs based on the recommendations of the committee.
The amount to be awarded will not exceed $30,000. The award committee will have discretion for the final approval of funding based on the budget proposal submitted with the project.
The Primary Investigator will receive the funding to be used for the following acceptable expenditures: salary stipends for activities conducted during the course of the project, as funding for a Graduate Assistant to help in the project, to obtain materials, supplies, and equipment or to support travel related to the proposed project, or any combination of these uses.
This award will span a two year time period allowing time to thoroughly evaluate results of the proposal work. Spending should not exceed the proposed amount or purpose as budgeted in the accepted proposal. If there is at anytime during the award period, a needed change in how the funds will be spent, then written approval must be obtained from the ETUO award coordinator (thoskings@uh.edu) prior to the change.
At the end of the award period, a detailed budget summary (UGI 1074) will be requested from the Department Business Administrator. Any funds which have not been spent will be returned to ETUO. Any stipend or salary award will include fringe deductions.
