Distance Education
The University of Houston offers the largest and longest running distance education program in Texas, delivering selected courses to over 9,000 students in a dozen degree programs each semester.
University of Houston is a leading innovator in distance learning and teaching, producing award winning programs taught by award winning faculty. Classes are offered online, on television, on video tape/DVD, and in state-of-the-art classroom settings at learning centers in Houston’s suburban areas. University of Houston’s distance education programs provide excellent value to busy adults pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree.
As part of the Distance Education program, E.T.U.O. offers several programs targeted to special markets in the Houston area:
- Corporate Courses: to NASA, Hewlett-Packard, et al.
- Discover U: in the Medical Center
- M.Ed. in the Medical Center: with the Baylor College of Medicine
With a strong history of distance education operations plus staff dedicated exclusively to distance learning, U.H. hosts the most experienced distance education program in Texas.
